A book made about the origin, history, and evolution of the knock knock joke.

This project was completed for the 2017 ISTD brief "Mark My Words" in which one had to explore a word, phrase, or group of words from their provenance to the modern day, and examine its evolution over time. I chose the phrase "knock knock, who's there?", and delved into its history, going as far back as Shakespearean times, and as modern as yesterday. Each section of the story was illustrated with a theatrical poster, to emphasise the idea of presenting a terrible joke in such a histrionic way. Each poster was done in a style of the time.
